I am an award winning designer, plantsperson and gardener based in the south west of Cornwall.
I work with private clients, architects, landscape contractors and garden designers to create considered and beautiful gardens.
I achieved a BA in Garden Design Arts and the Environment at Falmouth University and won a gold medal at RHS Hampton Court flower show.
With a passion for naturalistic planting styles Ive trained in several well known gardens under expert teachers exploring the ‘Dutch wave’ and ‘The new perennial movement’ developing a keen passion for plant led garden designs.
My horticulture connection started when working as a gardener 20 years ago, it is then that I trained under a plantsman and learnt the fundamental basics of maintaining a garden, its cyclical processes and the language of plants.
I have worked years in the nursery trade firming up plant knowledge and supplier contacts, and trained with The National Trust working as a countryside ranger in areas of countryside management, conservation, grafting and observing plants wild in their natural habitat.
With a passion for art, architecture and design, for colour form and texture I wanted to take this fascination with horticulture further and moved to Falmouth, Cornwall to study Garden Design at University.
